Southern Water Works Update 14 August 2025

Please see below a brief update from Clancy regarding the Southern Water Sewer Upgrading in Angmering.

"We are aiming to start Phase 2 along Water Lane up to Cumberland Road within the next 2 weeks, subject to unforeseen circumstances.

We anticipate staying in Phase 2 of our works for approximately 4–5 weeks, with multiple excavations taking place up to Cumberland Road. We will use overland pipes whilst we temporarily disconnect some households from the main sewer so that the new upgraded line can be installed. We will then reconnect these households to the improved system. You will still be able to continue to use your water and wastewater services as normal during this part of the work. We’ll have ramps in place over any exposed pipework so vehicle access will be maintained if you live within the closure. Depending where on the road we are working you may not be able to park directly outside your property.

Once all works are complete and the area is reinstated, we will gradually move the site further up Water Lane.

Please note we will still be working outside the Lamb pub during the first part of Phase 2. During this period, our work area will be reduced to allow vehicle access up the High Street.
