1. Statement of Case / Statement of Common Ground

The Statement of Case sets out the council’s detailed reasons for participating in the appeal.

If a Statement of Common Ground has been agreed with other parties, this may also be published (unless parts are confidential).

 

2. Core Documents Submitted to the Planning Inspectorate

Any written representations, proofs of evidence, and appendices the council submits.

These should be the final versions sent to the Inspectorate.

Include expert evidence (e.g., planning, highways, drainage reports), if relied upon.

 

3. Correspondence & Notifications

Notification that the parish council has Rule 6 status.

The timetable for the appeal (hearing/inquiry dates).

Details of how the public can attend the inquiry or submit comments.

 

4. Key Background Documents

The appealed planning application and decision notice (link to LPA site is usually enough).

Relevant local/neighbourhood plan policies or evidence base documents referenced in the council’s case.
